BMW M3 Pure Limited Edition for Oz

The avalanche of special and limited edition M3 BMWs continues with a new market. Following the introduction of special M3 models in the US, South Africa and even China, the German manufacturer announced over the weekend the M3 Pure edition for Australia.

The car has been bulked up to suit the specific needs of the local customers and brings with it mostly visual enhancements. The model sets itself apart from the ground up, as it sits on 19 inch M Double-spoke light alloy wheels in Black High-Gloss, equipped with 245/35 R19 tires at the front and 265/35 R 19 at the rear.

The body of the M3 has been personalized with the addition of fine touches, mostly color-related, on the bonnet, kidney grille, side sills and exhaust. The car features bonnet air intake in Black High-Gloss, BMW Individual kidney grille in Dark Chrome, BMW Individual side gills in Dark Chrome, and BMW Individual exhaust tips in Dark Chrome.

The special version will be offered in both sedan and coupe body styles and colored in Alpine White, Black, Le Mans Blue, Silverstone, Space Grey, Melbourne Red, Jerez Black, Mineral White and Interlagos Blue.

The interior features Anthracite cloth with Black leather combination and headrests crafted from black Novillo leather and embossed with the BMW M logo.

Engine wise, the model packs a 400+ hp V8 unit. The Pure edition will be offered with a manual transmission, differential lock, Brake Energy Regeneration and Automatic Start/Stop function.

The special edition will arrive to dealerships in 2011. Only 50 units will be built for each body style, with the price set at AU$135,000 (sedan) and AU$148,300 (coupe).
