Of course that now that the Active Tourer is out the hat, renderers around the world will take turns in drawing a ‘high-performance’ model, even though the poor little car was never designed for such purposes.
The biggest engine that will be fitted to this body is the 2-liter turbocharged unit on the 225i model because there’s simply no need for more performance on an MPV.
Therefore an M2 Active Tourer model as is suggested by the rendering below will never see the light of day. That doesn’t mean we can’t have fun imagining one, does it?
The guys from X-Tomi Design were the first to do so and their take uses the front bumper from the new M3 and has some new character lines all over the body to make it more ‘sporty’ (on the bonnet and on the sides). Considering it’s just an imagination exercise, it’s not bad.
