BMW’s uber hot hatch, the M135i, has recently received a new tuning package, with the gift coming from Swiss tuner Sportec, which has developed a technical upgrade for the car.
The M135i is motivated by a 3.0-liter straight six that relies on turbocharging to deliver 320 hp and 450 Nm (lb-ft) of torque. Sportec offers a Stage One kit that consists of an ECU remap and brings the powerplant to 355 hp and a peak torque of 510 Nm (lb-ft).
The 1er also receives a Stage Two package, which includes a custom exhaust with a 200-cell sport catalyst, alongside the ECU software. Installing this will take the six-cylinder engine to 370 hp.
The Sportec BMW M135i needs 4.6 seconds to complete the 0 to 62 mph sprint (the stock car sits at 5.1s) and can hit a top speed of 171 mph (275 km/h).
