The new BMW 1-Series is arguably the worst-looking car in the Bavarian automaker’s range, yet it compensates that by being an excellent drive and very efficient at the same time - a great improvement over the model it replaces. Now, in order to improve its looks and performance, German tuner AC Schnitzer has given the most potent version of the car, the M135i, a thorough going-over.
It gains an aero kit which includes a front splitter, a small spoiler placed atop the rear hatch, as well as a loading lip protection film, for the rear boot opening. Customers have a choice of 18-, 19- and 20-inch rims, all of which look good on the car, since it sits lower than standard, courtesy of an in-house custom suspension kit.

The engine hasn`t been left untouched, though, and its standard power figure of 320 hp is boosted to 360 hp, via an ECU remap, as well as a custom exhaust system, with chrome tips. Inside the car, it gets various sporty touches, including a new gear knob with digital gear display, an aluminium cover for the i-Drive system, aluminium pedals and special floor mats.
