Imagine this: you’re walking down the street (with or without your Nikies on) and you come across a parked bicycle. This looks like it’s made of carbon fiber, so you get closer to see if it’s the real deal or just a vinyl.
As you approach the pedal-powered vehicle, you notice BMW’s M badge on the frame and as your mind starts going crazy, you also see AC Schnitzer decals. Yes, all these are real, as the German aftermarket developer has decided to tune a BMW M Carbon Racer bike.
The project aims to demonstrate the benefits of weight reduction, with many of the bike’s components, such as the saddle support, wheels and crank, being made of carbon fiber. Thus, the creation tips the scales at 6.9 kg (15.2 lbs), with the original model, which had already be designed to be very light, weighing 7.9 kg (17.4 lbs).
Our say: We’d really love to ride it, but scrap the fake photos in which the little girl “lifts” the bike.
