BMW's future hybrid sports car, the i8 is one of the most anticipated models fans are waiting for this year. Seeing it go through the tight turns on the Nurburgring makes us all hope, the day when the wait will be over is upon us.
However, the i8 will be a special car, unlike any other we've seen so far. It will be powered by BMW's famous 3-cylinder 1.5-liter engine and two electric motors. The total power output will sit around 340 HP and a lot of torque.

Being built out of ultralight materials the new Bimmer will have incredible performance figures: 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds, a top speed of 250 km/h (limited) and a fuel consumption of around 2.7 l/100 km (87 mpg).

Today we can enjoy a preview of how the car will sound like. Of course, any sports car has to be fast but also sound mean. The 3-cylinder engine actually sound pretty good and reminds us, somehow, of an old-fashioned V6.
