In the BMW world there are 2 or maybe 3 hot topics at the moment: the new M3, the new M4 and the i8. All of those are keeping us curious and we end up spending hours searching the web for some new info about them.
At BMW's stand in Geneva we get to see the German manufacturer's latest production invention: the i8. For lack of a better word we'll just say that when you first see it it's breathtaking. The car sure talks the talk, with its butterfly doors and the angry look on its face, but will it walk the walk?

According to everything said on the internet in the last days, yes. The engine will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol one delivering 220 HP and combined with 2 electric motors with a combined power of 128 HP and 550 Nm of torque. All of these can work at the same time giving the car a total output of around 348 HP.

With all of these motors running the car reaches 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. It might seem surprising, with just 342 HP but the i8 is made primarily out of CFRP and will be extremely light. Of course, due to its hybrid nature, the i8 will have impressing fuel consumption figures that will definitely make you glad you chose to go "eco".
