We’ve been seeing a lot of reviews and first drives of BMW’s newest car, the 3 Series GT. As always, everyone has his own opinion and sees pros and cons of the new car. Today we’re looking at what the guys from Autoexpress thought about it, one of the first video reviews we've seen with this brand new Bimmer.
The first things everyone notices about the new GT are the automatic tailgate, the improved leg room in the back, the overall larger size of the car, and the tweaks that make it more practical. It is longer and higher than its Touring brother and, at the same time, more comfortable.

As everyone before them, they also recommend getting the adaptive dampers, as they will give you “90% of the 3 Series’ feel” on this bigger version. It seems that turning the “Sport” option on, will completely transform your car, and you should definitely get this feature for your GT.

The most interesting thing about this new 3er is the way it is positioned in the BMW line-up. If you’re looking at it from the 3 Series perspective, the Touring might make more sense, since the practicality improvements are not that radical.

However, if you think about it as a cheaper 5 Series, things start to make more sense. After all, it is just as big and as comfortable as a 5er, but considerably cheaper. Looking at the F34 from this point of view, things get a lot more interesting. BMW might be on to a winner.
