Oh Russia, the land of fast cars, beautiful girls and the most extreme road rage videos in the world. Since the number of insurance scams has gone through the roof, everyone started buying dashboard cameras and the internet was flooded with all sorts of videos.
We don’t have to tell you that because, since you are reading this story, you’re probably already up to par with the whole story behind dash cams. Today’s special is about the confusing lever BMWs have on their ZF gearboxes.
A lot of people complained about it and, to be completely honest, if you’re not familiar with it, you might need a moment or two to get used to how it works. That being said, this poor Russian driver must’ve been new to his car.
We’re not absolutely sure that his car is an automatic but judging by how things go down in the video, chances are extremely high that’s the case.
In the first part of the clip, the driver with the camera is simply driving around apparently. You can even notice the BMW 3 Series in the distance but nothing seems to suggest that there’s a conflict between the two.
At the first red light, the camera car makes a U turn and starts going in the opposite direction at which point, the BMW also shows up, blocking its way. The driver then proceeds to get out of the car, in the typical Russian ‘I’m going to bash your skull in’ fashion.
Luckily for the camera guy, he forgot to apply the handbrake and also left his car in drive. Of course, that prompted the Bimmer to start going forward, in turn demanding the driver’s attention. As he reaches to stop his beloved 3er, the other guys makes a break for it, only to hit another car coming up next to him.
Seeing as there’s already enough trouble to be dealt with, the ‘road rager’ quickly vanishes leaving the other two parties involved to settle their differences. It’s quite an intriguing story that came to a completely unexpected result. It’s a shame we don’t have audio. Some nice Russian swear words would’ve made this thing a lot better.
