Starting with MY2014 cars, BMW will be introducing new standard features on the 3 Series in the US. One of the first things that will make an impression on all 3 Series Sedan, Sports Wagon and Gran Turismo models will be the new iDrive 4.2 system with the new touch sensitive rotary controller.
For the 320i, 328i, 335i and 328d models, from now on, standard features will also include:
  • Sport leather steering wheel
  • Dark Burl Walnut wood trim
  • BMW Assist eCall
  • BMW TeleServices
Furthermore, the Modern Line will be discontinued for MY2014 3ers, now the lines being divided between M Sport, Luxury and Sport Line, the latter getting Fineline Anthracite wood trims as a no-charge option and no more Dakota leather Everest Grey.

The xDrive all-wheel drive intelligent system will now be available on all 3 Series models, including the new diesel option, the 328d, whilst the 8-speed automatic gearbox will be standard with the manual 6-speed unit as a no-cost optional.
