The fight for the top premium automaker title is, of course, an extremely important one regardless of the battlefield, but is seems that the one taking place in the US is more special than others, thanks to the fact that it offers spectacular numbers.
To be more precise, carmakers in the US have recently released the sales figures for the first seven months of the current year and it looks like BMW and Mercedes are just 104 units apart, with the Bavarians leading the race.
So far this year, BMW has managed to convince 147,905 customers, while Mercedes’ financial reports show that the company has sold 147,801 cars until now. The first figure can be translated into an increase of 9.4 percent, while the later represents a boost of 14 percent. The situation wasn’t entirely different last year, when BMW defeated Mercedes by 2,715 units for the entire year.
