BMW ActiveAssist at 2014 CES

 Finally, after looking at all sorts of videos from all kinds of publications, BMW decided to publish their own video of how the BMW ActiveAssist system works on Youtube. 

Initially, a bunch of people thought that the system we’re talking about here was supposed to allow all sorts of idiots to drift around town in complete safety. Nothing further from the truth. As I told you once before, the idea behind ActiveAssist is to help you avoid really dangerous situations, when simply breaking won’t do.

It will help people avoid unexpected obstacles that pop out in front of them, all in complete safety, taking the car to the limit of its dynamic capabilities and taking over the steering , acceleration and brakes of the car.
Sure, it sounds nasty and all ‘computer controlled’ and stuff but I’m okay with it, as long as it saves lives. Aren’t you?
