It was raining with prizes for BMW cars last night in Stuttgart, where German magazine ‘auto motor und sport’ handed out its Best Car of 2014 Awards.
Their 115,000 readers/voters seemingly had a soft-spot for the Bavarian company, ranking them on the number one spot in 3 categories and on the second place in 5 others.
The F10 5 Series was the winner of the mid-size luxury sedan segment, claiming 28.2 percent of the votes cast. The Audi A6 claimed second place with 17 percent of the votes while the Mercedes-Benz E-Class ended up third with 16.3 percent of the votes.
The award was handed out to Dr. Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG for Sales and Marketing. This is the second, consecutive award the 5 Series won in this segment, from auto motor und sport.
