Blind Mechanic Fixes Cars Using Touch

Even if you are deprived of one of the most precious senses, life can still go on as long as you're ambitious enough to fulfill your dreams.

This is perhaps the case of Col Collewijn, a Dutch mechanic, who lost his eyesight in childhood when he was eight. But the mighty Collewijn refused to give up after the incident and learned how to repair motors, the Sun reported. Now he manages to fix cars using just touch to tell what is wrong with them.

"As long as my tools are in the right place and no screws drop to the ground I get along alone very well," the amazing mechanic confessed. "I do everything by trusting my senses and my hearing," he added.

As incredible as it may seem, Collewijn has a rich experience behind him as he has been working for a garage in Nuis, Holland, for 30 years. Therefore, if you take your car for a repair at the garage where he's working, he is the most appropriate mechanic to solve the problem.

Certainly, fate has been harsh with the daring mechanic but his optimism is almost overwhelming and contagious. Although many of us fail to see the good thing in an apparent dead end situation, Collewijn managed to pass over this obstacle.

"And I have one big advantage over other mechanics - I can repair cars in the dark," he confessed.

Undoubtedly, this man deserves our entire respect and admiration. In fact, this kind of story makes you realize that no matter the situation you should never lose hope. Remember, where there's a will, there's a way!
