The Maserati MC20 Notte is the first-ever special edition of the sports car that the Italian marque introduced two years ago. Only 50 such units, "sparked by the mystical and intense power of darkness," will see the light of day.
The car is inspired by motor racing and is the first special edition of the model. It joins the Cielo variant, as well as the GT2 and MCXtrema track-only variants. The MC20 Notte is created by Maserati's customization program, designed to come up with unique models.

The Maserati Fuoriserie team partnered up with Andrea Bertolini, Maserati reference driver and former GT1 world champion. Together, they worked on the development of the MC20 Notte bodywork. "Notte" is Italian for "night." So from this moment on, you know exactly what to expect from the looks of the sports car.

The exterior goes from the glossy black to the magnetic matte Nero Essenza, which is, quite predictably, also black. It sports contrasting details that glow in the dark, such as the Trident, side logos on the fenders, and the Maserati signature at the back. They go from silver to matte white gold, a reminiscence of the motorsport heritage of the brand.

The car rides on 20-inch matte black birdcage wheels, which display accents in matte white gold and hide brake calipers in black.

Six-way power sport seats in black and grey Alcantara with contrasting yellow stitching show up on board. The sport steering wheel is also wrapped in Alcantara with carbon fiber inserts.

Meanwhile, the Trident found room on the headrests. Between the two headrests, there is an exclusive metal plate celebrating the special edition with a distinctive "UNA DI 50" (ONE OF 50). This highlights the exclusivity of the model and points out that it surely is a collectors’ car.

There is no interference with the performance. Therefore, the special edition comes with the company’s extraordinary 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 engine with the standard 621 horsepower (630 PS) and 538 pound-feet (730 Nm) of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.

It is the power unit that makes the car flash from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 kph) in less than 2.9 seconds, do the 0 to 124 mph (0 to 200 kph) run in less than 8.8 seconds, and hit a top speed of 202 mph (325 kph).

To mark the launch of the model, MC20 owner and soccer VIP David Beckham, together with pro racing driver Andrea Bertolini, feature in the short film and photo gallery that promote the special edition.

The all-new Maserati MC20 Notte is available worldwide, but there is no word on pricing yet. Whoever wants to take one home will be invited to a track day to experience the exclusive car on the circuit.
