Good news for the owners of older Sportsters: Biltwell is offering two cafe-racer seats for the 1986-2003 bikes, and they are one of the best ways to add some real cafe DNA to these rides.
Biltwell specifies that the Black Tuck n' Roll and the Black Checkerboard seats will only fit the bikes with the Harley-Davidson OEM rear fender and only for the specified years.

The seats come with a vacuum-molded ABS plastic basepan and polyurethane foam under the hand-sewn black vinyl covers and are offered in the ribbed Tuck n' Roll or Checkerboard, square stitching patterns.

The mounting brackets are made in laser-cut steel and for installation, a drilling a hole in the rear fender is absolutely necessary due to the very architecture of the bikes. So if you don't want your fender to rust unnecessarily fast, sealing the hole with paint and possibly some rubber washers is advised.

According to Cyril Huze, the price of the Biltwell Cafe-Racer Seats is $174.95 (€131), which is quite affordable for a premium treat for your behinds.
