Whenever somebody’s life or health is at risk, good-natured people sometimes spring up to give a helping hand to those in need. Now, a 1990 Bentley Turbo R has been donated to Historics at Brooklands, which will hold an auction on Saturday, November 24th.
The resulting funds will go to Steve Brown, a 25 year-old, from Hayes, Middlesex, who was diagnosed with a rare form of malignant brain tumor, back in 2010, and as these things sadly always end up, chemotherapy has failed to deliver the desired results (a reduction in the size of the tumor).

The Bentley will be auctioned off with no reserve, to help pay for Steve’s complicated endoscopic brain surgery, which will be performed at a specialized medical facility, in Los Angeles, California. The director of Historics’ Auciton, Edward Bridger-Stille said: “We are immensely grateful to the owner of the Bentley for his enormous generosity in selflessly giving us his car to raise money for Steven.  We will naturally add to the total raised at auction by donating all fees and commissions from the sale.
