The Bentley Continental Flying Spur hasn’t received too many upgrades since it came to the market in 2005, but all this is about to change soon, as the carmaker is set to revamp the model this year.
The carmaker will keep the platform of the car, but it will bring aesthetic changes, as well as technical ones. Bentley has today teased the video using the adjacent video and image, with these offering us a few hints on the visual modifications to be received by the vehicle.
To put it shortly, the Flying Spur will borrow some visual tricks from the already-revamped Continental GT, as well as from the Mulsanne flagship model. In addition to that, it could lose the “Continental” part of its name.
Just like the Continental GT, the Flying Spur will receive new front and rear light clusters, with the first using LED daytime running lights. Other styling details include a slightly modified window line, with the kink at the back using a new shape.
The Mulsanne will give the Flying Spur its belt line, which brings more elegance and personality, but the standard points of the design, as well as the wheelbase and the tracks, will remain unchanged.
Like in the case of the Coupe and Convertible, the interior will receive minor changes, but the refinement will be one of the main areas to be improved. The same can be said about the engine department, where the Flying Spur will receive the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, along with the eight-speed ZF gearbox.
Bentley is telling is that new details about the Flying Spur are coming on February 20, which means that we’ll see the car debuting in Geneva.
