Bentley Considering Racing Comeback

Ever since the days of the ‘Bentley Boys’ and their ‘blowers’, Bentley has accumulated considerable racing pedigree. Their last triumph was at the Le Mans 24 Hour race, back in 2003 and they have announced that they are considering reentering the motor racing world.
Despite not setting a clear time frame for their return, they have asked for the assistance of Graham Humphrys, who had previously worked on the Williams Motorsport BMW V12 LMR that won the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1999.

The car on which their future racer may be based is also on the drawing board, but in the words of Bentley’s chassis guru Brian Gush, it’s "a racing sports car with a derivative for the road," however this plan may be short-lived as the car they have planned may not be compatible with the Le Mans rules.

We look forward to seeing more Britsh Racing Green cars doing 320km/h(200mph) down the Mulsanne straight, soon!
