Bentley is currently considering introducing armor on the list of options for its range of vehicles, as part of a plan to cater to the needs of customers in markets that require such a feature, where the carmaker has registered increasing sales.
The demand for high security vehicles is increasing in markets such as the Middle East, Russia and Latin America and Bentley wants to take advantage of this. The company’s current sales chart tells us that 8 out of 10 vehicles are sold outside the British market, so Bentley must adapt in order to fulfill the requests of these customers.
Being part of the VW Group, the company should have access to industrial pathways that lead to such developments, since Audi already offers armored vehicles.
Our say: while Bentley is analyzing the concept, Hyundai is making its move.
