Hyundai has joined forces with ArmorTech to create an armored version of the Equus’s limousine incarnation. Dubbed Equus Limousine Security, this is scheduled to make its debut at the Moscow Motor Show, which will be held between August 31 and September 9.
The vehicle, which offers VR7 protection level, tips the scales at 3,840 kg (8,465 lbs) and comes with a length of 5.46 meters (215 inches). The list of protection items includes run-flat tires, a labyrinth layout for the areas where the glass and the body are connected, as well as for the door gaps, an engine compartment fire-killing system, hydraulic window lifting, extra protection for the fuel tank, as well as an intercom communication system.
Under the hood, we get Hyundai’s 5.0-liter Tau V8 unit, which delivers 430 hp and a peak torque of 509 Nm (375 lb-ft), which works with an eight-speed automatic that feeds the rear axle.
