The electric trend has also spread on the bike market and the range race is one fierce battle to fight. Zaiser Motors joins the competition with an electric cruiser that promises a 300-mile range on a single charge.
Zaiser Motors is a Colorado-based startup that’s been secretly working for the past two years on what they claim to be the motorcycle of the future, and one with a soul, if we might add.
The Electrocycle is their proud creation, a twin-hub powered bike with a retro-ish look but modern features and a modular design that allows you to replace parts that get worn out.
The bike will have a long wheelbase and will pack a 17.5 KWH removable battery that comes with fast charging and offers a whopping 300-mile (483 km) range on a single charge.
Zaiser claims that the Electrocycle will be the world’s first twin-hub electric motorcycle and will be able to get from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.6 seconds. The top speed of the Electrocycle will be 120 mph (193 kph).
An auto stabilization system, true traction control on both wheels, proximity sensors, haptic feedback units in the handlebars, and a roadside assistance system are part of the safety features brought to the table by Zaiser.
With sustainability in mind, Zaiser claims the Electrocycle owners will be able to reduce their carbon footprint by more than 12,000 pounds of CO2 per year. The company also aims to recycle most of the Electrocycle components within the first 10 years of their production timeline.
The Electrocycle is looking for funding to finalize the bike, including running tests and optimizing its design. The expected launch date is late 2021 or early 2022. It will also be available to preorder in early 2022 for less than $25,000.
