Barack Obama Praises the 2013 Shelby GT500

President Barack Obama might drive a hybrid these days, but he didn’t forget his days behind the wheel of a V8 (a Chrysler 300C that’s for sale these days) and it seems that these memories were coming back as he visited the Washington D.C. Auto Show.
Obama took a sit in around six vehicles, all of which were American, including the Dodge Dart, Ford Fusion and the Corvette ZR-1. However, it wasn’t the last that captivated him, but the 2013 Shelby GT500.

According to David Shepardson from the Detroit News, Mr. President joked: “This is what I needed in high school", adding “this is a stick”. What can this mean? Well, it’s obvious: Americans have to embrace the stick shift!
