Audi RS5 Leaked Ahead of Geneva Debut

We’ve been holding our breath for quite a while, waiting for the RS incarnation of the Audi A5 coupe to hit the market. Now, two weeks ahead of the car’s world premiere at the Geneva Auto Show, the wait is over, as a “leaked” brochure reveals the Audi RS5 in all its mightiness.

Unfortunately, the main things whispered into our eyes through the new media’s voice are the fact that the RS5 will come with at least 4 designs for its alloy rims, 3 types of cabin accommodations and will be handled through a non-flat bottom steering wheel (as you can see in the picture) & two pedals belonging to the 7-speed dual clutch S-tronic gearbox.

The only thing that can be added to this was the previously known info that the car will feature a retractable rear spoiler.

And here’s where the information fuel runs out and we must start burning rumors to keep our passion running. Apparently, a genuine wrestling match has been held to decide the upcoming RS5’s engine.

The four fighters are the following: a doped version of the 3.0 liter supercharged V6 that powers the S4, a “good ol'” 4.2 liter V8, the 5.0 liter V10 which can be found under the RS6’s bonnet and the 5.2 liter V10 monster powering the top version of the R8.

Most people put their money on a power output ranging from a 450HP (this would give the RS5 a photo-finish win against the BMW M3 on a dyno) to a RS6-imitating 580 HP.

After many  “round-garage” kicks and “ubercuts”, the heavy(power to)weight champion engine will be revealed at Geneva.
