Only last month, on July 25th, Audi reveled the facelifted version of the R8. It was a bit anticlimactic for us, as no power increases were made, but now we get to see how the changes stack up in the real world.
Supercar spotter NM2255 took this video of an R8 V10 Spyder in Costa Smeralda, Italy. The car was on German plates in black with a black top, but still quite attention-grabbing.
In case you didn’t get the memo, the R8 V10 Spyder uses the same engine it has been, a 5.2-liter V10 that still makes 518hp (525PS) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft). Prices for this model start at €165,900 for the version with the manual, but we’d suggest you got for the double-clutch option, which makes the car so much faster. In this configuration, this Spyder should reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in a very supercar-like 3.8 seconds.
The changes brought about by the facelift include new fascia with full-LED headlights, a six-point grille and redesigned intakes for the front, as well as cylindrical exhausts for the back (which look fake in the video).
