The Quattro name is universally associated with go-fast Audis. Before every car they make was called a qattro, there was a rally legend known today as the ur-Quattro, the car that made they a sporting legend.
Now, Audi are bringing back that history with a modern day version of that car. Back in 2010, the Germans unveiled a concept they called the Quattro at the Paris Motor Show. The response was overwhelming in favor of them building it, and they promised a limited-production model which never came.
But the new Quattro could be ready for 2015, when Audi celebrates the 35th anniversary of the car we all know. The report comes from German publication Auto Bild, and suggest the Q35 will have a 2.5-liter with forced induction, pushing out 380 HP for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph ) time of about 4 seconds. It will be priced between the top of the range TT and the R8.
