For the Q5, the new engines are the 2.0 TDI and the 2.0l TFSI, both available in conjunction with the 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel version of the 2.0l unit is also available for the A4 allroad.
The 2.0l TDI with common rail high-pressure injection develops 143 hp and will become, as we said, the entry level engine for the Q5 and A4 Allroad. The maximum torque of 320 Nm in this engine comes in between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm.
This version of the Q5 accelerates from naught to sixty in 11.4 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph). The new engine provides a fuel consumption rating of 6.5l/100 km (36.2 mpg).
The supercharged 2.0l TFSI develops the same amount of torque as its diesel variant, all the way through 1,500 to 3,900 rpm. The 2.0 TFSI accelerates the Audi Q5 from zero to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Its average fuel consumption is 8.4l per 100 km (28.0 US mpg).
As for the A4 Allroad 2.0 TDI, it reaches 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds and can accelerate up to 200 km/h (124 mph). Fuel consumption figures stand at 6.2l/km (38 mpg).
Price wise, the Q5 2.0 TFSI starts at 36,800 euro, the 2.0 TDI at 36,500 euro while the Audi A4 Allroad 2.0 TDI costs 37,100 euro.
