Speculation that Audi’s Quattro GmbH division is going to slap an RS badge on the Q3 compact SUV, and we’re pretty sure that company officials have ruled this out. Instead, the sport SUV will be known as the Q3 S and it won’t be long until it is revealed.
Now, autoblog.it comes to shed more light onto the powertrain with some leaked info. As was expected, the Q3 S will make use of a detuned version of the 2.5-liter turbocharged unit in the TT-RS. Instead of the full 340 hp, the unit will put out 310 horsepower that will be sent to the road via a seven-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox and Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system.
