Audi has announced the European market pricing for its new flagship sedan, the A8L.
The entry-level version for the long wheelbase version of the Audi A8 is equipped with a 3.0 liter TDI diesel engine that produces 250 hp. This can be yours starting from EUR86,250.
The premium vehicle’s engine range also includes a more powerful diesel unit and two gasoline powerplants, with all the engines being matted to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. The beefier diesel engine is a 4.2 liter TDI V8 delivering 350 hp, while the gasoline part of the line-up includes a 4.2 liter FSI V8 producing 372 hp and a range-topping 6.3 liter W12 FSI engine that has an output of 500 hp.
Audi predicts that the 4.2 liter TDI engine (priced at EUR 102,150) will account for 50 percent of the car’s sales, while the monstrous 6.2 liter W12 powerplant (EUR 139,500) will be chosen by 25 percent of the customers. The remaining 25 percent will be split between the 4.2 liter FSI unit (EUR101,250), that will account for 15 percent of the sales and the 3.0 liter TDI (EUR86,250), that is expected to take 10 percent of the sales.
In case you were wondering, the “L” badge brings a 13 cm growth in length for the A8, with the car measuring 527 cm in length, 195 cm in width and 147 cm in height.
As expected, Audi’s flagship comes with an almost infinite list of features, offering goodies such as a Valcona leather finish, heated front and rear seats, electric-power rear sunshades, a premium audio system and others.
