Audi A4 Nurburgring Crash Is How a String of Green Hell Mistakes Looks Like

A Nurburgring error can be costly enough on its own, but when a driver delivers a string of mistakes, expect the Green Hell to stay true to this nickname.
Case in point with the guy behind the wheel of the Audi in the video below. We'll start with the car, which, despite showing multiple elements that may lead us to believe we're dealing with a B5-generation S4 Avant, is probably a tuned A4.

We can see the Ingolstadt machine understeering its way into a corner, with the driver having misjudged the entry speed by quite a lot - while the actual velocity value might not seem that great for the radius of the corner, the downhill configuration and the water on the track meant this Audi didn't stand a chance when it came to sticking to the asphalt.

Once the car reaches the gravel on the outside of the bend, plow-through understeer continues to see it traveling towards the protection element on the side of the track. Perhaps some extreme hand brake-using maneuvers would have saved the day, or at least reduce the severity of the impact.

Despite the damage visible in the video not appearing that serious, this impact can't be labeled as an easy one - check out the way in which the momentum of the Audi is dissipated by the car being thrown into the air and you'll understand.

The final mistake made by this driver saw the guy stopping the A4 right before exiting the gravel trap, which seems to bring the otherwise still-drivable Audi in a position where it requires assistance to get back on the track.

Then again, the Audi A4 driver isn't exactly unaware of the problem he had generated, with the reaction he shows once the car comes to a halt speaking for itself.
