ATAC has already began its spring offensive (filing lawsuits) against Toyota across the battlefield (nation), with all its 22 army divisions (law firms in 22 states) gearing up for the onslaught.
ATAC's... attack is being coordinated by Field Marshal (Professor of Law) Dr. P. Tim Howard, the same man who back in the 1990s managed to reach a $20 billion settlement with the State of Florida in the famous Florida tobacco lawsuit. The same lawsuit ended in a national settlement of $250 billion, but that was no biggie, Howard says.
"This is the strongest and largest case for economic damages to American consumers we've ever had," Howard said. "Major used-car valuation services like Edmonds, NADA, and Kelley Blue Book have already downgraded resale value by as much as 3.5%, and consumers can expect an additional decrease up to 6%."
"As a result, Toyota owners have been robbed of their investment, along with their ability to trade in these vehicles rather than submit to hasty and questionable repairs. In the meantime, they have also lost the use of their car. That's economic damage, plain and simple."
The Field Marshal coordinates a team of several other generals (lawyers) in different sectors of the front. Larry Gornick is leading the attack in California, while the New York battle is being headed by James F. Haggerty.
Meanwhile, the local resistance (Toyota owners) keeps on sabotaging Toyota's efforts to mount an effective defense, by telling NHTSA about every little chip of paint which fell off the body of a Toyota car and threatened the life of their entire city...
