Aston Martin will introduce a facelifted version of the V8 Vantage range, with the 2012 model year set to bring a multitude of changes. We’ll start with the entry-level V8 Vantage, which still uses the 4.7-liter 420 hp V8 engine, but loses the optional six-speed Sportshift automated manual gearbox in favor of the seven-speed Sportshift II, a gearbox that is offered as a standard feature on the Vantage S.
The Vantage borrows a series of chassis tricks from the Vantage S, with the car receiivng quicker steering, wider tires and beefier brakes. In addition to that, the vehicle has received a few exterior tweaks from the Vantage S and the N400 limited edition. The front bumper now comes with more generous air intakes, a rear diffuser, as well as new side skirts. The changes target both the Coupe and the Roadster model, with pricing starting at EUR108,500.
