Aston Martin Releases Virage Video

Aston Martin must be really proud of their new elegant, yet powerful sportscar. The British marque has provided us with a very interesting piece of video footage, showing the convertible version of the car in action on some tight mountain road corners.

The beauty and dynamism of the car transpires through every second of the clip, even though Aston has chosen to show a less-than-impressive silver more. We also get to hear the machine-gun noises made by the powerful front mid-mounted V12 engine, backed up by an exhilarating soundtrack.

Aston Martin’s biggest engine, the hand-built V12 6.0-liter provides all the power you’ll ever need in a convertible, while delivering it through a carbon fiber prop shaft to a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission mounted on the transaxle contributing to perfect 50:50 weight balance.

A newly developed Adaptive Damping System (ADS) intelligently 'reads' the road to provide optimum road holding, adapting to different conditions. The system now selects up to five different stiffness settings within normal mode, and a further five stiffer settings in sport mode.

Aiding car control, a 'Sport' button allows the driver to select a sharper throttle response and faster gear changes, while also holding the gears without automatically shifting up at the rev limiter. Aston Martin Virage will be delivered with Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes as standard, shifting the trend in this market for optional extras.
