Arrinera Venocara Supercar Prototype Unveiled in Poland

Most of you are looking at that picture and saying “that’s a new car?, it’s got the nose of a Noble and the back of Lamborghini Reventon”, but the guys that made it insisted we haven’t seen it before when they unveiled the Verocara concept in Poland.

Arrinera Automotive must have been coloring within the lines of a Lamborghini picture book, because the resemblance is striking from some angles. There’s not a lot of ways to design a supercar, so we’ll let it slide for new and focus on something else. What’s under the Venocara’s svelte carbon Kevlar body is a tubular steel chassis.

The interior show clear luxury preventions, being filled with a sea of cow-hide that’s been died in a striking orange hue, carbon fiber trim, aluminum accents and a thermal-imaging system.

Power for the Venocara is provided by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has probably been lifted from that eternal source for shed-built supercars -the Corvette ZR1. The unit produces 638 hp (476 kW / 647 PS) and 819 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque. Unfortunately, Arrinera has been tight-lipped regarding the performance of the model and the fact that it arrived on a trailer makes us a bit suspicious.

There might be some gremlins in the system, but if all goes well, the prototype will transform into a beautiful interesting supercar in late 2012. It will be offered in Europe, China, the Middle East and the United States.
