Poles Build Themselves a Supercar

Smaller nations, at least when we refer to them as such from the automotive point of view, have little chances of creating car names that will last over the eons. With no independent auto industry of their own (in the countries that have auto industries of their own, the involvement of a major car manufacturer was needed to get things going, eg. Romania), these countries have little hope of making a name for themselves in the industry.

Perhaps just because this is so, small auto countries, if we can call them that, have a tendency of skipping a few steps when they finally decide to make a move. That means jumping from no car production at all to the manufacturing of supercars, with no other steps in between.

In Poland, a company called Arrinera is doing just that. The people that come together under that name have decided to take on the supercar world with a car that looks like a Lamborghini Murcielago and acts like a 6.2l V8.

The photos you see before you, although renderings, do not mean the car is just a distant dream. According to Motor Authority, the company will present the real car sometime next month, propelling Poland on the map of supercar producing countries.

Of course, some might have a problem with the Murcielago resemblance. A problem that might get fixed by the 638 horsepower and 604 lb.-ft. of torque that hide under the hood. Or the ceramic brakes, light alloy wheels or the leather, aluminum and carbon fiber interior.
