Last month, Polish company Arrinera Automotive revealed their first prototype in a local presentation. Following the release, the Polish firm now brought some fresh photos (the first decent ones, actually) and a video of the prototype on roads in Poland, flexing its big V8 muscles.
We’ll remind you that the supercar contender is based on a tubular steel chassis with the body made of carbon fiber and Kevlar composite materials, and that power comes from a mid-mounted 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine from the 2011 Chevrolet ZR1. The unit is good for about 640 horsepower and 819 Nm of torque (604 lb-ft), which is good enough to make it a proper fighter in the world of Ferraris and Lambos... on paper at least.
Unfortunately, the idea of a supercar made in Poland won’t strike most as being as exciting and interesting as on that came from Maranello, as the country is better known for making agricultural equipment than raging monsters on slick tires. However, there’s one supercar maker out there that used to make tractors and they’re doing just fine, aren’t they?
From a design point of view, the Arrinera has a bit of everything in the Lamborghini range - stealth fighter looks, angular lines and... Lambo doors. There’s also a bit of the venerable Murcielago at the back and the Reventon at the front. Yet there’s not a lot that can be truly new in the world of supercar design, so we’ll let this slide for now, until we can find out what the car is like to drive.
We bet there’s a few of millionaires in Poland willing to show national price and put their names down on one.
