Arden Tuned Bentley Continental GTC

After they've got us used with new flavors of Jaguars and Land Rovers, German tuner Arden has decided to go after another British icon, the luxury brand Bentley. And, even if the top story on the web these past few days was the fact that Arden has released only a "flying B" for the luxury Continental GTC, the truth is there's more to it than that.

Arden has now began a tuning program for the Bentley. That includes, apart from the hood emblem, engine upgrades. No alterations were though made to the car's exterior.

Arden provides an additional 60 horsepower for the already monstrous 560 horsepower/650 Nm of torque 6.0L W12 bi-turbo engine. That means that now, if you go the Arden way, you will benefit from a 620 horsepower troop and a huge torque, standing at 800 Nm. That power is further enhanced by a better throttle response in the lower rpm range and an optimized performance curve, making the Bentley reach 100 km/hour in under five seconds.

As we said, Arden has not altered the Bentley's overall look. Apart for the hood emblem, the tuner provides 10.5 J x 21 inch Arden Zelem multi-piece alloy rims. Arden provides the opportunity for the buyers to engrave whatever they like on a steel plate embedded in the rim. The rims are shoed with 295/30R21 sport tires.

The other noticeable additions to the Bentley are, as we said, the hood emblem and the handcrafted, fully chromed, stainless steel radiator and front grille, which replaces the factory made plastic-grille. Odd choice, given that the factory grille was made of plastic to enhance pedestrian protection, and not the result of some cost cutting measure.

Unfortunately, prices for the Arden modifications have not yet been released, apart from the one of the "flying B" which costs € 980, without tax. For further information, check out the attached PDF.
