Audi has just inaugurated the country's largest showroom which opened its doors in India, clearly emphasizing that better sales are expected from the country in the near future.
This is the biggest showroom in India, Rush Lane wrote, so it measures 30,0000 sq. ft., which means it has enough space for the display of 20 cars. The service center on the other hand can work with as many as 25 cars per day thanks to its 16 service areas.
“The opening of Audi Delhi underlines our growing presence and unwavering commitment to customers in India. The showroom, which is the second to be inaugurated in 2011, is the largest luxury car showroom in the country. With this showroom, Audi has once again raised the benchmark of distinction and portrayed the brand’s commitment to unparalleled levels of luxury, sophistication and progressiveness which enabled Audi to attain No.1 position in Europe and China," Audi India Head, Michael Perschke, said in a statement.
"In 2010, we achieved record sales and strengthened customer touch points through new showrooms in Mumbai (West), Kolkata, Bengaluru and Jaipur. In addition to our established dealership network, we will continue to offer our customers a strong product line coupled with world class services.”
According to a recent study, India is on track to become the fourth largest auto market, with sales likely to reach new milestones in the year to come. India could thus surpass some European auto markets while, together with China, it could contribute to Asia taking more than the majority share in the industry.
