The first 2014 Mercedes-Benz' S63 AMG will be delivered without one of the features that probably only a small percentage of its owners would pay for anyway.
According to a recent report by Mercedes-Benz Passion, the high-performance AMG ceramic composite braking system will only be available starting with the 2015 model year, which means you will not be able to order it for cars built until March 2014.
If you were/are interested about the system, the option's code is B07, while the total price is a whooping 8270.50 Euros in Germany.
The braking system consists of a gigantic set of ceramic composite brake discs measuring 420 x 40 mm in the front and 360 x 32 mm in the rear, along with custom painted gold calipers sporting an “AMG Carbon Ceramic” logo.
The news comes as a bit of a surprise, since the W222 S 63 AMG that has been featured in all official photos and films released with the model until now was featuring the aforementioned braking system. Then again, those images were most likely featuring a pre-production model.
