The Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 is Edmund's Best Luxury Sedan

The newly released Best Cars You Can Buy list is Edmund's way of saying which are the current 17 best cars in each of their segments. With a single model chosen as “the best” in each of the seventeen categories, they chose the newly-launched Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 as the “Best Luxury Sedan” from their point of view.

They say that the new S-Class is not only the best luxury sedan you can buy, but it is arguably the best car in the world, a phrase which has been touted at the launch of every new generation of the Sonderklasse.

The interior design, choice of materials and the countless comfort features were some of the categories in which the Mercedes-Benz uber-sedan scored highly on the non-shared Edmund's scale.

The only area in which the new S-Class could improve from their view would be if the engine-variety will increase to the same level of diversification offered by the previous generation of the car. Considering that the car has just been launched, we and Edmund's feel that this “downside” will soon be rectified.
