How would you feel if you stepped outside your house and found a huge cardboard box from Amazon.com?! Well, it seems that this happened to some folks as the guys from Nissan and Amazon decided on an unusual marketing strategy for the Versa Note model.
It all happened in Nashville, Nissan arranging with Amazon to have three Versa Note cars delivered to their owners in the traditional brown box. Well, this time we can’t really call the cardboard box traditional as its proportions weren’t exactly your regular ones.
The idea had a great impact on the public, creating an entire hysteria on the Internet, even having the famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld speculate on the content saying the whole thing might be just a hoax. But, their crazy and fun idea worked and was the subject of a lot of talk till the very moment of the great unveiling.
What’s interesting is that Nissan gave a preview of this idea a year ago and actually went forth with it. Their brainstorming sure paid off and this particular marketing stunt will most certainly remain as one of the best ones.
