Alonso, Massa Pay Fun Visit to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi [Gallery]

Sure the season finale this year will give the verdict to one of the most exciting title battles in the recent history of Formula One, but that doesn't mean the leading actors can't have some decent fun before such a tensed race. And it was championship leader Fernando Alonso that left the thoughts about his potential 3rd world title aside and focused on making the most of his first visit at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Opened only for the media a few weeks back, the aforementioned theme park now benefited from the visits of Alonso and his teammate Felipe Massa, along with 4 other journalists who were offered the opportunity to virtually lap the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi at the wheel of a 430 Scuderia Challenge car.

“Ottavio Daviddi of Tutto Sport, Stefano Mancini of La Stampa, Laurent Dupin of TF1 and Julien Febreau of Europe 1 were the top qualifiers of a competition held yesterday for the international media,” noted the Ferrari official website.

Needless to say, all have enjoyed the experience, while Massa and Alonso also took their chance in the famous Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster.

“Thanks to this attraction, all lovers of speed, like us will be able to experience, for once in their lives at least, the unique sensation of being launched into the air at 240 kilometres per hour, as well as enjoying what is a truly great day for all real Ferrari fans,” said Alonso, who won the first race in the aforementioned simulator.

Additionally, he admitted it was “really incredible” in the Formula Rossa, as did Massa.
