AFX shows their FX-50 open-face helmet, a lid which brings 2 shields for extra protection at face level.
This helmet comes with a generous shield which is quite handy for long hauls, especially. It provides enhanced face protection against wind, insects, dirt and debris and mimics the performance of a full-face helmet.
The internal smoke-tinted sun shield comes in multiple shades and is always a good addition to the optically-correct shield, and the only drawback would be the top-of-the-head level for moving it in and out of place.
AFX FX-50 comes with a removable screw-on visor, and removable, washable liner and cheek pads. The lid tips the scales as 1.3 kg (2.8 lbs) and retails for a nickel under the $100 (€74) mark. Available in sizes XS through XXL, in several color options.
