Aftermarket Tata Nano in the Spotlight

It's hard to imagine the cheapest car in the world, the Tata Nano, fitted with aftermarket parts. But some people's imagination - and their way to make a difference between ugly and beautiful in car design - goes beyond our limits. And here's the perfect example.

Indian company Carnation Auto joined forces with DC Auto for the creation of what seems to be first aftermarket kit for Tata Nano. The package is yet to be released but its designers are claiming that it will be officially launched in 2010.

It's difficult to describe the feeling you get when looking at the aforementioned picture. Or maybe it's too difficult to find the proper words to talk about the pictured car. Describing this as being an ugly tuned model would be way to kind but some people, and we're actually referring to its
designers, are really thinking this is beautiful.

Here's their opinion: "A thing of beauty is a joy forever," Dilip Chhabria, Founder, DC Designs, said in a statement.

"Adding this new vertical to our business model will help broaden our service offerings. With increasing commutes, our 'Complete Customisation' offering will provide car owners the option of traveling in privacy, comfort and luxury. Partnering with Mr. Dilip Chhabria will prove to be exciting for us as a company and for the variety we are bringing to our customers," he added.

And that's not all. The so-called Innov8, a special model based on the Toyota Innova, is already available. The interiors have been upgraded with a wide array of features, including plush leather seats, a 19-inch LCD TV with Satellite TV, a Sound System with DVD Player and a Beverages Chiller. Outside, the car received new air ducts and restyled bumpers.
