Great to see a nifty idea like the Acton M electric scooter seeking crowd-funding and actually exceeding the goal... this means the factory minimums are secured and we should be seeing the M in the street in 2014.
The Acton M is a three-wheeled scooter and this means pretty much anyone can ride it safely, even those who normally can't ride a bicycle or a motorbike. It comes with lithium ion polymer battery which can go from 0 to 100% in 2 hours using a fast charger or in 4 hours using a normal one.

It provides enough juice to propel the M and its rider to 12 mph (19 km/h) and delivers a 15-mile (24 km) range.

What's even cooler about the Acton M is it's folding design: the scooter is fabricated from aluminium and comes with a modular architecture. It can be folded and will occupy a very small space for storage, making it easy to "park" it in the office and similar places.

It will reduce it's volume by 50% and can be easily stored in car trunks or carried within trains. The Acton M comes with all wheel braking, LED headlights, field swappable batteries, an unique key for better security and a 30-lb (13.6 kg) weight.

The Acton M is expected to arrive in 2014 with a price around €1,300 (just under $1,800).
