Next to the BMW X6 we already showed you earlier, AC Schnitzer also introduced the visitors of its stand to an even meaner version of their M4. For some reason, the company’s management decided to take it up a notch but we’re not objecting.
Compared to the model launched a while back, the updated ACS M4 now has a new splitter up front, attached to the bumper, side wings that are supposed to cut through the air more efficiently and a tall wing at the back that reminds us of the M4s that race in the DTM.

Under the bonnet is the same business as before. If BMW wanted the 3-liter inline 6-cylinder S55 mill to make 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, the tuners have different ideas.

AC Schnitzer’s M4 for example, has no less than 510 HP and 645 Nm (476 lb-ft) of torque coming out of the plant thanks to a new ECU, revised admission and new exhaust. That last bit is also responsible for a superior sound.

To cope with the extra power, the guys also added a new sport suspension that lowers the ride height, some lighter, bigger wheels as well as a couple of goodies for the interior.

Those include new floor mats, sport pedal covers made of aluminum and the usual gearshift lever knob and handbrake handle, all in the effort of making you believe this car was actually built by AC Schnitzer and not BMW in the first place.

Be that as it may, we really like what we’re seeing here and wouldn’t mind putting those 510 ponies to the test. Just saying...
