Audi's S4 seems to be quite attractive for tuning companies out there, especially for German houses who struggle to get more power from the existing 3.0-liter TFSI engine. After both Wettstetten and MTM rolled out aftermarket versions of the S4, Abt Sportsline does the same with a new kit which raises the final output of the car to no less than 435 horsepower.
But before rushing into performance upgrades, let's talk a bit about the styling improvements the German tuner is offering. First of all, there's a new 4-pipe sports exhaust unit that contribute to the overall aggressive yet sporty appearance of the car, as do the 18- to 20-inch wheels fitted with sports tires.
As for the engine, it now generates, as we said, 435 horsepower (320
kW) and 520 Nm of torque, up from 333 hp (245 kW) and 440 Nm on the production version. This means the aftermarket model is capable of jumping from naught to sixty in 4.6 seconds compared to 5.1 seconds for the stock model. The tuning house has also lifted the 250 km/h electronic limiter so the S4 is now able to top at 282 km/h (175 mph).
"This is because the engine, tuned by ABT Sportsline, is, of course, supplied without a V-max (top speed) limit," the German tuner explained in a press release.
Last but not least, the pricing details. According to the official website of the tuning house, the upgrade is offered with a price tag of 3,800 euro, with an additional 60 euro for installation and 130 euro for TUV certification.
