MTM Tuner Boosts Audi S4 by 100 HP

The German tuning company from Wettstetten managed to add 100 HP to the factory Audi S4. This was done thanks to a new electronic device from the tuner's Cantronic range.

The M-Cantronic, as it is called, remaps the engine ECU, making use of previously untapped resources of the V6 petrol engine. This is the first time the M-Cantronic module is used with petrol engines, as the device was, until now, popular among diesel engine tuning.

The M-Cantronic module manages incredible results with the S models from Audi. Coupled with the 3.0 TFSI from the Audi S4, which already recorded an impressive 333 HP on the dynamometer, the module succeeded in raising the power to 430 HP and 515 Nm. With this impressive boost, MTM tuning house claims the S4 can compete against the bigger RS models with V8 engines.

For the Audi A6 with the 3.0 TFSI power train, Motoren Technik Mayer GmbH (MTM) offers the M-Cantronic module with an increased output of 70 HP, boosting the standard power of 290 HP to 360 HP.

MTM says the M-Cantronic module should not interfere with a garage-installed software update for the engine control unit (ECU).

In addition to the introduction of the M-Cantronic module, the tuners for MTM also prepared a whole performance kit for the S models. This includes improved exhaust system (4-pipe, oval, black), Bimoto wheels (19” and 21”), MTM height adjustable suspension and MTM designed brake systems.

The German tuner now offers a tuning solution for commercial used vehicles that can be removed at the end of the leasing period.
