Abarth 500 Track Time at Imola

We know that Shmee150 has an Aston Martin he likes to pose in, but another one of our favorite supercar spotters has the corsa blood racing through his cylinders and pipes. We’re talking about Italy’s Marchettino, who owns this red Fiat 500 Abarth.
On a sunny day, he enjoyed some track time in this compact hothatch on the legendary Imola racetrack.

According to him, he reached a top speed of 190km/h (115mph) in the main straight of the Italian circuit. The Abarth features some track focused features all of its own, but our protagonist took this further, with a decat exhaust with central straight pipe and stainless steel muffler, ECU remap with new turbo sensors and pierburg from the Grande Punto Abarth SS.

The little go-car also has H&R spring and front/back spacers, but the road tires don’t provide optimal grip on the track.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
