As I was growing up, the notion that I would own a massive boat with which to sail the seven seas seemed to be out of touch. As an adult, I see that this is not the case.
Folks, the ravishing creature before you is dubbed the Aandeel, and before you blow off this article based on the idea that maybe you can't afford a yacht, don't; this puppy is currently up for grabs for no more than $750K (€688K at current exchange rates). That's less than what some RVs and motorhomes cost these days. Time to see what we can get our hands on.

Now, before we go on, I urge you to check out that image gallery. In it, you'll witness just why I chose to bring the Aandeel to light. And yes, I'll say again: what we see will cost you no more than $750K. With the right questions, I think you can get that number down a tad more.

Overall, what we see was born back in 2013, sort of, so this baby will be 11 years old this year. In terms of yachting age, it's a pre-teen child ready to explode into its final form, so rather young and with plenty of room for any potential business or lifestyle ideas you may have.

But there's a small catch. According to Northrop & Johnson, the Aandeel is actually a refit S&S Racer from 1996. Not to mention that two years of work and $3M have been poured into it. That might explain the low price... not! Still, it's a turn-key machine that's ready to sail right now.

Starting with the exterior of this ship, the looks are the work of none other than Adam Voorhees, a design director with multiple awards under his belt. Funny enough, and an event that rarely happens in the yachting industry, the interior is also the work of Voorhees.

Then there's the shipyard that put it all together. This time around, Goetz and Derecktor are the two shipyards called upon to bring this puppy to life. Oh, and allow me to point out that Derecktor is an American team with four yards scattered all over the eastern seaboard.

What I found rather neat and interesting is the fact that nothing but good old carbon fiber was used to craft the ready-to-sail hull we see, all 77 feet (23.5 m) of it, and with it, not only is a grand exterior and deck brought to light, but the same carbon ultimately defines the interior and its compartmentalization.

What I loved most about this vessel's exterior was its sleek and modern demeanor, which caused me to sit back and really take in the sights upon seeing it for the first time. Even the towering mast and self-tacking jib add to the ship's modern looks. Be sure to check out the aerial shots to understand what I mean.

Oh, and we aren't done with the outside, either. The rest of the deck is covered in teak, allowing operators and guests alike full access to every inch of the ship. Best of all, once you've found that hidden bay you've been searching for, transform the main deck into a space where you and your guests can lounge around, soak up the sun, or dive into the surrounding waters.

Actually, if you're looking for a diving platform, the rear of the Aandeel has a toy garage, and upon accessing it, you'll unfurl a section of the ship's stern. Attach a ladder to it, and enjoy the local seas. Don't forget about the stand-up paddleboards you brought along.

Now, as we head inside this ship, we'll need to take a few steps down and, upon doing so, find ourselves in the center of an indoor lounge that's simple yet modern and surrounded by windows along the sides and above to let natural light into the enclosure.

Be sure to take a moment and visualize yourself hanging out with your best friends, laughing it up about how Dave almost drowned during the morning cave dive - adrenaline will make you do that - or, and here's the best part, do all that late at night and under the glow of color-changing LEDs that highlight the space and give it a more party feeling.

But, party and play aside, one neat aspect of the Aandeel is its ability to perfectly accommodate day-to-day life. The lower deck is not only fitted with the lounge I mentioned, but there's also a little workspace, a fully-equipped galley, bathrooms and showers, and multiple bedding spaces. In short, it's ready to handle you taking a break from life for a month and even support the needs of numerous clients if you happen to put it up for charter.

All that's left to do now is kick back, picture yourself in the possession of the Aandeel, and take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Heck, take things a bit further and head down to Oxnard, California, and see the beauty in person. Just be prepared to sweep up this sweet deal before anyone else.
